The Basma Hotel was built in 1993. It
has a modern 6 floor building, painted in sandstone
color with a sweeping driveway leading to reception. At
the rear of the hotel the rooms and all communal areas

and the Nile with fantastic views, especially at night.
Opposite the hotel drive is the brand new Nubian Museum
of Aswan which is famous for its exhibition of Nubian

give the rooms a light and airy feel. All are reasonably
equipped and are comfortable. Bathrooms are adequate, in
