4 Nights Siwa and the White Desert Tour

This travel package is tailored for travelers who wish to explore the most popular attractions in the Western Desert of Egypt; the Siwa Oasis and the White Desert with all its magic and wonders.
The trip consists of spending two nights in Siwa to visit all the sites located in and around this famous oasis. Afterwards, we spend one night in a camp in the white Desert and one night in the Bahariya Oasis.
The Egyptian oases, including Bahariya, Farafra, Dakhla, Kharga, and Siwa have their own taste and magic. The Bedouins living in these tribal communities are different from any other population in Egypt.
They have their own habits, customs, and beliefs that are totally matchless and unique.
Siwa, the most distant and mysterious oasis among all the oases in the Western Desert, is one of the most interesting destinations in Egypt hosting many fabulous attractions and a community that still holds to its old tribal culture, customs, and beliefs

Day 1

arrival in Cairo and we take our private 4X4 Jeep to travel heading towards Siwa, we visit the World War II Museum in Alamein, pass by Marsa Matrouh, reach Siwa in the afternoon, visit Shali overnight in the hotel in Siwa

Siwa visits including the Mountain of Death, the Temple of the Oracle of Amun, a donkey cart tour of the city, and Bir Wahed, overnight in the hotel in Siwa

We start our journey from Siwa to Bahariya passing by the Bahrein, Nawemisa and Sitra Oases; visit the magnificent sand dunes, overnight in the hotel in Bahariya

Upon arrival in Cairo, the guest will meet the Select Egypt Travel representative who will be your best friend for the coming five days. We only deal with local highly educated and experienced company representatives who have fluent English and wonderful communication skills We will start our trip using the comfortable air-conditioned 4X4 Jeep right away heading towards Siwa Our first visit of the Day will be at the World War II Museum, located in Alamein and displaying many weapons, uniforms, tanks, airplanes, flags, and many other items that were used in the Battle of Alamein between the British and the German armies Our next stop will be at the World War II Memorial, where many soldiers who died in the battles taking place in Alamein were buried We have lunch on our way, and then we pass by Marsa Matrouh, one of the most popular Mediterranean Sea resorts. We reach Siwa and we start our visits with the ancient town of Shali, which was founded during the 13th century and was probably ruined during the 20th century because of the harsh rainfalls. The houses in the town were made out of "Khershef", a local mixture of clay, salt, and many other materials We check in our hotel and overnight in the hotel in Siwa
We enjoy our breakfast in the hotel to get ready to explore the wonders of Siwa - We start our tour with the mountain of the dead, or Gabal Mawta as the locals call it in Arabic, where many rock cut tombs are located dating from the 26th Pharaonic dynasty to the Greco Roman era. There are many interesting tombs to view there including the tomb of Si-Amun, dating back to the 3rd century BC and the tomb of Mesu-Isis belonging to a 26th dynasty priest. The next stop of the day will be at the temple of the Oracle of Amun, the most famous and important monument of Siwa. This temple was the home of one of the most famous oracles in ancient world. Alexander the Great has visited this temple in 331 BC to gain confirmation to be the King of Egypt. Afterwards, we take a donkey cart ride in Siwa enjoying the wonderful scenes of the oasis and viewing the lives of the local inhabitants The last stop of the day will be at Bir Wahed, one of the most popular touristic attractions located 15 kilometers to the Southwest. This water spring is located in the middle of the sand dunes and the best place to bath in mineral water. We have a bath in Bir Wahed, enjoy our dinner, and relax watching the stars overnight in the hotel in Siwa
We enjoy our delicious breakfast in the hotel, we check out to start our journey heading towards Bahariya We pass by the Bahrein, Nawemisa and Sitra Oases before reaching the fascinating sand dunes of the Great Sand Sea and exploring the nature of the area We reach Bahariya, check in the hotel, overnight in Bahariya
After the energizer breakfast, the guest will start his day with an amazing tour to visit the wonders of the Western Desert Afterwards, we ride in the comfortable air-conditioned 4X4 jeep to start our tours of the day - Our next visit of the day will be to the Black Desert, which was named that way because of the color of the rocks and mountains located there. These rocks have gained their colors from black quartz that are present inside numerous rocks - We then we continue our trip to the Farafra Oasis, and on our way we visit the crystal mountain, one of the most famous attractions of the white desert. This Egyptian Western desert wonder consists of large quartz naturally formed crystals inside many rocks and stones creating a startling magical scene. Our last stop of the day is the most interesting as we visit the internationally famous White Desert, the most important attraction in the Western Desert of Egypt. Covering a surface area of around three thousand kilometers. It consists of bizarre chalk white rock formations that were once the surface of a shallow sea that covered this area in prehistoric times. The rocks create all sorts of shapes like mushrooms, animals, and strange looking sculptures. All this area has become a natural protected area during the last few years. At the end of the day, we set up our camp in the desert to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the region, watch the stars, have an amazing barbeque party, and spend the night in our comfortable camp.
